Hair Mask Fail

Ok so we all see these incredible and unbelievable before and after hair mask photos! You know the ones where you mix household ingredients and get luxuriously shiny and beautiful hair from a frazzled mess?
Well.. I tried it.. It was stinky and kinda made me gag a little... Notice the scalp and the chunks of egg?  I know right?! Haha EEWWW

The after did seem a little softer.  I guess I have to do it more often to really see a difference?

Have you done a hair mask before? Did it work?  What are your recipes?
This one was 2 eggs and 3 tbs of olive oil....

DIY Dry Erase Message Board

This is another project in my DIY Room Makeover!
If you missed my last post, I had awesome pics with step by step tutorials but they are all stuck on my crashed computer.
But I still wanted to share with you bc they are pretty self explanatory and its great for leaving each other little messages!

For this project I got a cheap 8x10 frame, covered the back of the frame with a coordinating fabric (I just hot glued it on) and found these awesome sparkly self adhesive letters!
'I Love U Because' and put the shelf under to hold our dry erase stuff!

I also framed a little letter my hubs wrote me with our song lyrics on them while he was away at basic when we first got married!  Oh so cute!
The only thing I want to change is a less busy fabric because the words can be a little hard to see.

DIY Mirror Makeover

Before my hubs came home from deployment I had a goal to redo our room and did a lot of DIY!  I took tons of pics for tutorials and they are all stuck on my crashed computer!
I wanted to share this fun DIY Mirror Makeover because its really easy and oh so cute!
(my lighting was horrid and the colors look a little yellow but its totally black white and turquoise)

I got a spool of Ribbon and simply hot glued it all the way around the cheap little $5 mirror!  Then I made the Rosettes (i will post a tutorial on those later) and attached ribbon with hot glue to hang it.  It turned out great!

excuse the horrid doors and trim.. rent house lol

DIY Busy Wall

I am supposed to be cleaning for company tonight but craft inspiration  set it and its all i have been doing all day!
My first project was an EPIC FAIL! I will share once I can fix it.
I am really excited about my Princesses Busy Wall!

This was her boring wall before

And this is her wall now!

I still want to add more to make it busier but I am waiting on more lids from my mom.  The 3 things in the middle bottom are just shoe box lids covered with fabric and id like to have some more of those!
I moved her princess sign down where she could reach so she can hang her bag, purse, jacket etc on them!
I hung up the very first tutu I made and also made the fun little pic display in the middle.
I just got a cork board and cut fabric to fit, pinned it on and hot glued on ribbon and a flower then pinned on some fun pics

Also wanted to share my new fun little pic hanging idea
I got this sparkle gule that wipes right off and put a dab on the back of the frame where the nails go and then stick it to the wall and then i know exactly where to hang the nails!!!

DIY Headboard and Wall Art

Before my hubs came home from deployment I redid our bedroom.  I have great tutorial pics but they are stuck on my crashed computer.  I still wanted to share these fun things with you and tell you how I did them even if i dont have my step  by step pics.

First is our Headboard! It actually was my moms idea and it worked out great!  She got the silver wall art thingy at Kirklands on clearance and it didnt work for what she wanted so we decided to get some cardboard, cover it in fabric, duct tape it to the back and hang it up!

excuse the non matching sheets my black ones are in the wash and i searched every store to find turquoise that matched with no luck!

Yea we Red Neck Rigged it.. But it works great!
I love our bedspread because its reversable! I am not excited about the rip off I got on it but I love it anyway!

The M & B wall plaques are my fav!  I simply got 2 art canvases at Hobby Lobby and the letters I found at Michaels and I hot glued fabric to them and then used craft glue to adhere the letters to the fabric.  The little blue embelishments i got on clearance at micheals but i loved that it gave it a little pop of color.
