Grocery shopping with 3 under 3 eeeekkk

Tales from the Crypt Commissary

This morning all my kids woke up before the butt crack of dawn!  Luckily the princess started yelling for daddy bc he forgot to set his alarm!  I got up changed them all, fed them and headed off to the commissary (grocery store on base) The commissary is always full of chaos when you have 3 under 3.  Last time we went I buckled the big uns into the car at the front of the cart and gave them my phone and they were fine.  We today every stinking cart had broken buckles! EVERY ONE!  My guess is there are many more military wives with crazed kids like mine that have broken free!  Anyway I started early to avoid the crowds and the countless amount of elderly folk that have nothing better to do then stop, stare and say Oh My! You have your hands full!  Thankfully it was fairly dead in there this morn!  We didn’t get 20 feet in the door before princess started throwing a fit.  She wanted out, in, out, in then decided to lay on the floor…  The lady stocking the produce was shaking her rude lil head and I very sarcastically replied Well! If there was just 1 freaking cart in this store with a working seat belt this wouldn’t be an issue!  Grrr people do your job and mind your own stinking business!
Well it got more comical as we dredged through a few isles.  I decided to capture a few pics so you could see what I was talking about…

Yeah so after many unsuccessful attempts to keep them in the cart, several things knocked on the floor and stuff rearranged on shelves, them laying in the floor, climbing on the cart, me and the shelves. I was defeated and done! I could not bear to go one more isle!  We headed to the check out where grandpa bagger started in.  Your kids not have shoes today?  OMG Grandpa!  I should have said no were to poor for shoes or something off the wall like that! But I said well if you look in the cart you will see 3 lil pairs!
Luckily we made them out of there with 3 whole pairs since I had to stop to pick them up several times!
Grandpa continued to hurl randomly rude comments to the car where he loaded our groceries.  After I sat and had a few deep breaths for several minutes I decided danget I deserve starbucks for this!  Pumpkin Spice Frap is always the answer hahaha

Ok so 1st moms of multiples, especially young multiplies what is your advice for grocery shopping?  I used to love grocery shopping! Now I dread it!  And since I only got half done this morn I have to eventually go back!

On a funny note you HAVE to read thispost from Diapers or Wine!  This post totally cracked me up yesterday, as do most of her posts!  Sooo funny outtake of her trip to the store with 5 OMG!
