Unsettled

Unsettled!  This word should be my new mantra! Why unsettle? Well unsettle means to alter from a settled state; cause to be no longer firmly fixed or established; render unstable; disturb!  These are all the things I need in order to regain control of my health!

I've had a heck of a last 5 weeks!  From moving away from family to podunk where there's nothing toddler friendly to do, to the death of my dad and a million other little things in between, each I have embraced as very valid excuses to be a pig for the last month and a half.  Its so easy for me to say its been a very hard day I deserve an extra large dr pepper, cheesy tot and ice cream to boot.  But its time, again, to start over.  And my prayer is simply for me to be unsettled!  Unsettled in the fact that Dr Pepper and Cheesy tots are not only against my docs orders but not okay to consume on a regular basis.  Unsettled in the fact that over 200 lbs is beyond unhealthy.  I could go on and on and on in the areas I need to be unsettled in, but more importantly I just pray that God shows me all the places of my heart and actions that need to change to the point of unsettling me so much that I desire and push for the change I need.

A few friends and I started a new journey today!  21 days of focus!  The focus is different for each of us but through this journey we are reading an amazing devotional!  Made to Crave: 60 days to craving God not Food by Lysa Terkurst

This devotional is amazing! There is also a book and 6 week action plan series too!
In the devotional we are doing day 1s theme is 'Unsettle' which is my prayer and deepest desire through this next 21 days and beyond!  What do you need to be unsettled about?

Psalm 139:23

The Message (MSG)
23-24 Investigate my life, O God,
    find out everything about me;
Cross-examine and test me,
    get a clear picture of what I’m about;
See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong—
    then guide me on the road to eternal life.
