DIY Headboard and Wall Art

Before my hubs came home from deployment I redid our bedroom.  I have great tutorial pics but they are stuck on my crashed computer.  I still wanted to share these fun things with you and tell you how I did them even if i dont have my step  by step pics.

First is our Headboard! It actually was my moms idea and it worked out great!  She got the silver wall art thingy at Kirklands on clearance and it didnt work for what she wanted so we decided to get some cardboard, cover it in fabric, duct tape it to the back and hang it up!

excuse the non matching sheets my black ones are in the wash and i searched every store to find turquoise that matched with no luck!

Yea we Red Neck Rigged it.. But it works great!
I love our bedspread because its reversable! I am not excited about the rip off I got on it but I love it anyway!

The M & B wall plaques are my fav!  I simply got 2 art canvases at Hobby Lobby and the letters I found at Michaels and I hot glued fabric to them and then used craft glue to adhere the letters to the fabric.  The little blue embelishments i got on clearance at micheals but i loved that it gave it a little pop of color.

  1. How clever to use cardboard...I just might try this in our guest room. Now you have my "wheels" turning!
